I completed several marathons a few years ago...or was it a few marathons several years ago?
Short-Term Running Goals:
Take my running streak one day at a time (It's the only constant in my life) While pursuing a Bachelor's degree in general psychology, after which, I will pursue a Master's degree in Psychology with dual specializations in clinical counseling and sex therapy. Lastly, to run my first marathon as a female. I hope to achieve all of there goals while I'm still a little sane :) or maybe I've already gone insane. Hmmmm. Something to think about.
Long-Term Running Goals:
To run every day for the rest of my life, If possible.
To continue running marathons, as a female, and with better finishing times compared to when I was running as a male.
The ultimate goal (fantasy): Win a marathon as a transwoman, and not have the validity of the win be questioned or challenged by anyone, or delayed, pending further review, or have an * in front of my name...or after my name *. In a perfect workd, right? Right.
If such a scenario were to actually occur, by me or anyone else, and the win is indeed questioned or challenged, or pending further review, the best way to cope is to just ride it out with dignity, your head held high, a sense of humor, and move forward with your life.
Some personal facts about me: I tend to do things much, much later than others would, such as going to school and having kids, realizing at age 47 that I'm a transgender woman. I began Hormone Replacement Therapy on Dec. 20, 2017. I used to be known as DaleG, but now I go by the name of Addison, but you can call me Addy. True story. Some people may be fine with this and others may not, but everyone is entitled to their own feelings. I merely want to live out the rest of my life the way I should have been all along, and that is to be happy.
I have one more year until I earn my Bachelor's degree in psychology, then it's on to a Master's degree in, most likely, clinical psychology with dual specializations clinical counseling and sex therapy.

Addy - Your streak of 269 days Running is quite impressive. I don’t think I ‘ve ever tried running any distance “everyday”, so good on you, keep up the good work! Do you have any idea when you will be entering your next marathon?

Thank you my friend. Running is the only constant in my life and I think I would be lost if I missed a day.
I'm not sure when I'll be signing up for a marathon with how busy I am with school. I will eventually though. Plus I'm going to try and drop 15 to 20 more lbs and that'll help immensely
